On November 27th, he has tied knot with Sagarika Ghatge, his lady love.
A marriage was reportedly registered by the couple on Thursday. The Head of Brand marketing and Business of Prosport Fitness Studio of Zaheer Khan, Anjana Sharma has disclosed this news.
The preparations for the wedding of couple took place in full strike. In the Instagram story, Vidya Malvade, the close friend of Sagarika and her co-star in Chak De! movie has shared the wedding card’s photos of the couple.
The bride’s pictures were also shared in the uploads. For the majestic event, a fancy jewelry was pulled on by the bride as seen in photos. On Sunday, the ceremony of Mehendi will be graced by the friends and close members of family. On Monday, this will be followed by a reception.
It is an informal, cherished affair. Expectations are there for the presence of close family members of the couple and close friends from cricket world of Zaheer Khan. These include Ajit Agarkar, Ashish Nehra, Yuvraj Singh etc. In the evening, a five star hotel will become the place where a cocktail party will be there subsequent to the marriage.
A close source informed about these events. It was already revealed by the couple earlier that no differences are there due to barrier of religion and relationship is open to their families as well. As per the statement of Zaheer Khan, no such issues were there for us. Both the families understood the fact that marrying someone in same religion is below marrying someone who is right choice for you. Being a good person and human being is something that has importance. This is the reason why in Mumbai, they registered a court marriage on 27th November (keeping away from both saathpheras and nikah). Functions of pre and post marriage will be there. He added saying that for a few days, the ceremony will be on as he has some plans in Pune as well. This would be family and close friends get together.
Sagarika also stated, the primary that my parents has is that I tie knot with right man and they are open minded. There were apprehensions from their side but things were made clear after a meeting with him. He is just perfect. Sometime later, we might also have something in Kolhapur, my hometown.

On 23rd of November, the couple tied knot and joined the club of Bollywood-cricket couples. The two hosted a grand wedding reception in which some of the close friends and family members of the two took part.
